Blog #4 Assignment - Image 12: Drivers & Passengers (Pg. 81)

Drivers and Passengers

During the course of your leadership, you will come in contact with two types of individuals: Drivers (those who lead the path and drive the group to their specific destination) and Passengers (those who are along for the ride).

Think about how you can be proactive in seeking opportunities. In the text Habitudes, you will take a look at Image 12 and answer the following "Reflect & Respond" questions by Friday, March 26th at 11:59pm:

1.) What factors have lured us into thinking like "victims" in our country? When something goes wrong, what is it that makes people prone to file a lawsuit instead of take responsibility?

2.) What is the difference between those who take responsibility and those who don't? What are symptoms or evidence of a person who assumes responsibility?

3.) Think of an environment where you are more of a "passenger" than a "driver." What makes you act like a passenger instead of a driver? In your personal opinion, do you think it's okay to occasionally be a passenger? If so, please explain why so.

Once you have answer the following prompt, please submit it on your blog profile. By Sunday, March 28 at 11:59pm, you will need to respond to Two (2) of your classmates in one or more the following ways:

- Discussing at least two things you liked about their reading response.

- Asking a thoughtful question about two or more of your classmate's answers.

- Discussing the connection between the text (Habitudes or The Student Leadership Challenge) and your classmate's post.

- Addressing whether or not the reading response makes you want to review the text (Habitudes or The Student Leadership Challenge).
